What
is the IMU? The IMU belongs to the Department of Natural Resources Assessment and Environmental Data Management in the Ministry of Environment (MoE) in Cambodia. The Unit was set up in September 2000 with support from the German-Mekong River Commission -Project 'Sustainable Management of Resources in the Lower Mekong Basin (SMRP). What
are our objectives? ˇ Improve the access to information produced in MoE. ˇ Increase the exchange of information with relevant partners in Cambodia and to develop linkages and relationships with people working in the field of Forestry, Land Management, Biodiversity and Conservation, etc. ˇ Strengthen the capacity of MoE staff to access, collect, analyse, produce and disseminate information. What
services do we offer? The IMU produces a Newsletter (every two months) with information about documents available in MoE, news about MoE offices and projects, announcement of events, etc. The Unit also offers a database of information available in MoE. The IMU gives assistance
to publish your information on the web (www.mekonginfo.org). The Unit also offers some
special services for MoE staff (training on the web and free web access). Who
do we work with? The Unit works with all kinds of institutions and individuals (e.g. government, NGOs, universities, projects) who are involved in Natural Resource Management. The staff of the IMU works closely with the IMU of the Department of Forestry and Wildlife. Where
