BPN - Republic of Indonesia (1995): 9.2.2 Arrangement of Land Tenure and Land Use the Rim of Lake Limboto. Based on maps and data collected, about 5,000 ha. area of water in Lake Limboto converted into dry land. The land is now currently held by the people who cultivate the land neglecting the norms of conservation on Lake Limboto as well as Four Principles on Land Order moreover between 1970 and 1982, there were paddy-field procurements which lead to the encroachment of land surrounding the lake. Therefore, in order to maintain the size of lake, determination of water boundary as well as certainty of land ownership rights are positively needed in the rim of Lake Limboto. As a result, such a concept on certainly of land holding and land use is constructed by the Government of Level II Gorontalo Regency through, Consolidation of Lake Limboto. The concept gets a positive approval from the central government so that the land consolidation activity that covers three district administrations of 24 villages could be started in 1994/1995 fiscal year, after having intensely discussed with all related institutions. |
