BPN - Republic of Indonesia (1995): 9.2 Arrangement of Environment in Lake Limboto 9.2.1 Concept of Conservation in Lake Limboto In the effort to conserve Lake Limboto there should be clear, integrated conception the determination of lake area which will be maintained and holding of land tenure/land use around Lake Limboto, as well as catchment area of Lake Limboto. Such an effort to maintain the area of lake (3,000 ha) is taken through determination of circular lake boundary market with ring-belt which will be functioned as ring road, and deepen of lake through scraping. In order to reduce sedimentation in the lake, there will be green belt area surround the lake mean while, in order far holding and collecting mud or sediment along with run-off, there will be check-dams constructed, as well as "mud-pocket" In addition, in hilly area and well site, reforestation and greenery will be intensified in order to keep water resources and supply. Conservation steps on arrangement of Lake Limboto are: 1.1 Construction of ring belt. 1.2 Construction of green belt 1.3 Construction of check dam and mud pocket completed with reservoir. 1.4 Scraping of lake 1.5 Conservation of land and living environment. |
