8.2.2 Land Use and Land Status

Land tenure and land ownership in Timbulun village are identified mostly as customary nature (Ulayat kaum) in communal holding, besides personal rights, whether it has been registered or not.

The customary community member owning the land are mostly reside in Timbulun village, while some others stay outside the village.

Naturally, the land is managed by one of customary member who cultivate himself with the family member, while those who reside outside the district will give the land plot to the other people in the form of leasehold.

During inventory step, it is identified that the number of land which has been registered ownership right (certification) is 1 plot, while 87 plots are customary holding, and 7 others are personal ownership.

Land use in consolidation area is paddy field cultivated once a year.
