8.2 Regional Fact

8.2.1 Geographical Situation

Timbulun village consists of 4 sub-villages, incorporated in Perwakilan Batang Kapas District in Surantih.

The village lays between 1°15' - 1°40' S. Iatitude and 100°34,16' - 100°53,6' E. Iongitude, 99 km away from capital of municipality to the south. Timbulun villages covers 700 ha land area, 200 ha of which may be developed. Out of this 200 ha, 100 ha has been determined as the site of agricultural land consolidation area, which current land use is paddy field cultivated once a year (village irrigation).

The site of agricultural land consolidation is situated in Timbulun village characterized with its slope of 0-3%, drainage condition as periodically flooded (70 ha) and leaving the rest of 30 ha unflooded
