National Land Agency BPN - Republic of Indonesia (1995):
International Workshop on the Implementation of Rural Land Consolidation

6.6.2 After Land Consolidation

In line with the implementation of Rawa Sragi Project, before its step on land arrangement, such development on road infrastructure and drainage and water networks were carried out by the Public Works Services. Then, land matters activities were followed through land consolidation pattern, involving all institutions concerned both at the 1st and 2nd level governments.

These land-related activities were started with extension to and inventory of the land holders.

The activities related to land matters include:

  • Extension.
  • Inventory.
  • Review on the Result of Inventory.
  • Announcement of the Farmers who are eligible to receive land.
  • Evaluation of the announcement result and claim/objection.
  • Mapping and Preparation of Spatial Plan.
  • Measurement/Surveying and Staking out.
  • Assignment of Land Allocation.
  • Distribution of Card for Location Assignment.
  • Establishment of Redistribution Receivers.
  • Finishing of Right/Certificate.

The result of land consolidation practices in Rawa Sragi is that all land plots have regular form, i.e., rectangular and they have direct access to both water networks and road/path networks.
