National Land Agency
BPN - Republic of Indonesia (1995):
International Workshop on the Implementation of Rural Land Consolidation
5.5 Closure
The above overviews present these following conclusions:
- That contingent to local conditions, the implementing of rural
land consolidation in Indonesia, is still in its early and experimental stages of lands
with references to RUTRW.
- Nevertheless, the result deserve prospective roles in terms of
supporting national development, so as to sustain and perfect it.
- Land consolidation is an inter and cross-sectoral activity as
it hungers for a well-coordinated and sound sectoral development.
- Rural land consolidation is a means to overcome the
inefficiencies and unproductiveness of landholdings and landuse in the outer-islands of
Indonesia.
The near future, the legal framework for land consolidation
are to be perfected in terms of inter-departmental, and inter-sectoral comprehensiveness.
