National Land Agency
BPN - Republic of Indonesia (1995): 2.3.2 Land State The state or conditions of the land is one of the main concerns of policy makers. What is happening to the land and how is it changing the natural and sociocultural conditions? Ultimately, the land is society's life support system. Indicators of the state of the land include natural resource values (like soil capacities) as well as socio-economic values (like land distribution). Although, state of the land indicators are important in themselves, they are most useful to landpolicy makers and the public when supplemented with indicators of pressures and impacts, which link the cause and effect of changes. |
