11.3.3 Accelerated consolidation

This procedure can be applied under special circumstances where objectives are simple. Provided that an adequate rural road network and drainage system are already in place, and the landowners submit an application, this procedure may be instituted. As the rural road network and parcels need not be restructured, entire properties can be exchanged. This also means that the area need not be resurveyed, thus saving considerable time and expense. Several other aspects of the procedure are also more simple, e.g. vis-à-vis land valuation and the management of the community of participants.
