In the national meeting on inventory of wetlands/aquatic ecosystems 5 important wetland types were reconfirmed.Those are (i) Seasonally/permanently freshwaters swamp (woodlands or grasslands), (ii) Mangrove forests (coast or estuary), (iii) Rivers and canals, (iv) Permanently/Temporarily flooded grasslands, (v) and Rice fields.
